South Carolina Marketing Job Industry

According to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW), there were 1,790 employed marketing managers in 2008, while there are projected to be 2,029 by 2018.  An estimated 24 new marketing manager positions will be created annually, and 39 positions will become open due to workforce attrition. The annual growth rate of 1.3% will surpass the South Carolina average of 0.9% for the total workforce.

The SCDEW estimated there were 1,556 market research analysts and marketing specialists in 2008, and predicts that number to grow by 33.54% to 2,078 by 2018.  Annually an estimated 52 new positions will be created, with 42 positions opening for replacements.
